Anweledig, a band from Blaenau Ffestiniog, Wales, was formed in 1992. The group consisted of Ceri Cunnington on vocals, Gai Toms on guitar and vocals, Iwan 'Oz' Jones on guitar, Rhys Roberts on bass guitar, Alwyn Evans on drums, Joe Buckley on keyboards, Edwin Humphreys on saxophone, Barri Gwilliam on trumpet, and Arwel Davies on trombone. The band won both the Urdd and National Eisteddfod best band awards in 1994, and supported notable acts such as Yr Anhrefn, Super Furry Animals, and Stereophonics. Anweledig gained prominence in the Welsh-language music scene with their debut album Sombreros yn y Glaw (1998), released under the Crai label. Their subsequent releases included the EP Cae yn Nefyn (1999), the single "Scratchy" (2000), the album Gweld y Llun (2001), and another EP Byw (2004). Anweledig played their final concert at the Queens Hotel in Blaenau Ffestiniog in 2008.
