Eileen Joyce, born Eileen Alannah Joyce on January 1, 1908, in Zeehan, Tasmania, Australia, was an Australian classical pianist. She began her musical education at age 10 and won the Grand Championship at the Perth Eisteddfod in 1926. Joyce's breakthrough came with her professional debut in London on September 6, 1930, performing Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3. She quickly became a prominent figure in classical music, making numerous recordings starting in 1933. Joyce's career spanned over three decades, during which she performed extensively across Europe. Her notable works include contributions to the films Brief Encounter (1945) and The Seventh Veil (1945). She died on March 25, 1991.
