Nancy Walker, born Anna Myrtle Swoyer on May 10, 1922 in Philadelphia, was an American singer known for her contributions to jazz music. She began her career as a vaudevillian performer at the age of ten months old, debuting alongside her parents. Her early musical endeavors included appearances on NBC radio programs such as Coast to Coast on a Bus and Our Barn. Walker's first film appearance was in 1943's Best Foot Forward, which marked her transition into acting. She continued to act throughout the 1940s and 1950s, appearing in various Broadway productions and films. Her musical appearances led to record releases, including "I Hate Men" (1959), featuring show tunes such as "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair". She passed away on March 25, 1992.
