Daniele Zaffiri, known professionally as Danijay, was born on April 19, 1977, in Genoa, Italy, and is an Italian record producer and disc jockey. He began his career as a DJ in 1994 and started producing music in 2003. His debut single, "Il Gioco Dell'Amore", became a European dance radio hit that year. In 2003, he released his second single, "I Fiori Di Lillà", featuring Italian singer-songwriter Alberto Fortis. Danijay's subsequent releases included Luna Nera E.P. in 2004 and "Say Me / Condition" in 2005, both of which reached the Top 10 Sales Chart for Italian megastores. His track "L'Impazienza" placed second in the Eurodanceweb Award in 2005. Danijay released his first album, Dance & Breakfast, on the Universal label in 2006 and collaborated with Luca Zeta for the compilation albums Dance Passion Volume 1 (2006), Volume 2 (2007), and Volume 3 (2008). In 2008, he released his second album, Plug & Play. After a four-year hiatus, Danijay returned to the music scene in June 2012 by remixing Roby Rossini's work in collaboration with Beatgeil, "Explode".
