Kim Joanne Woodcock Lukas, known professionally as Kim Lukas, was born on March 16, 1977, in Surrey, England. She is a British singer and dancer who began her career with an early interest in art and drama, studying at a performing arts college and the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London. Her theatrical experience includes roles such as Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream by the English Shakespeare Company. Lukas's musical journey started with her first television performance on the show Blue Peter, where she sang "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" at age 12. Her breakthrough came when she met producer Roberto Turatti, leading to the release of her debut single "All I Really Want" in 1999. The song achieved commercial success, reaching the top 10 in several European countries including Austria, Canada, Denmark, and Italy. Lukas's subsequent releases include the album With a K (2000) and singles such as "Cloud 9" (2001), "Change The World" (2007), and "Breathe Again" (2011). She has also written lyrics for various dance acts, including Sagei Rei and Hard in Tango. Lukas presented on Gay TV's European Top 20 in 2002 and collaborated with Nathalie on the songs "Change The World" and "Breathe Again", released by Ritmica Records and Inner Records respectively. Additionally, she performed extensively in Italy and Spain.
