Rock Kills Kid was an American art punk/alternative rock band from Los Angeles. The group included Jeff Tucker (guitar and vocals), Shawn Dailey (bass), Sean Stopnik (guitar), Reed Calhoun (keyboards/vocals), and Mike Balboa (drums). Their music drew comparisons to new wave/post-punk bands such as the Cure and U2. The band's initial lineup released a self-titled 5-song EP in 2003 via Fearless Records. After line-up changes, Rock Kills Kid regrouped and signed to Reprise Records, releasing their debut album Are You Nervous? in 2006, which peaked at number 10 on the US Heatseekers chart. Notable songs include “Paralyzed” and “Hideaway”, the latter featured on an episode of Fox television drama The O.C. The band toured extensively with acts such as She Wants Revenge and Electric Six. Rock Kills Kid disbanded in 2010.
