Pioneering the Rock Noir genre, Dommin has enthralled listeners with his signature dark, melodic sound and emotionally-charged baritone voice. The enigmatic songwriter first garnered notoriety as the vocalist and guitarist of the quartet that released their major-label debut album Love Is Gone on Roadrunner Records in 2010. This debut defined a new era of underground dark rock, blending the brooding romance of Depeche Mode with the heavy, gothic edge of Type O Negative. The lead single, My Heart, Your Hands, was celebrated as iTunes’ Song of the Week upon release, while the band earned nominations for Best New Band and Best International Artist by Metal Hammer and Kerrang! magazines. Dommin’s music fuses crunchy rock guitars, thunderous drums, and atmospheric keyboards with dramatic strings and epic choirs, creating a cinematic experience. The band toured North America, Western Europe, and Australia, supporting acts like HIM, Lacuna Coil, The Birthday Massacre, Black Veil Brides, 69 Eyes, and Volbeat, and performing at international festivals such as Download (UK), Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park (Germany), and Soundwave (Australia).
Dommin released follow-up albums Rise (2015) and Beautiful Crutch (2016). The latest release, The Martyr, is a 15-track journey that epitomizes the darkly romantic and emotionally potent essence of Rock Noir, showcasing a range of evocative compositions that solidify Dommin’s place as a torchbearer of this bold, moody rock genre.
