Ryan Lewis

Born on March 25, 1988 in Spokane, Washington, Ryan Lewis became known throughout his career as a music producer and congenial partner of rapper Ben Haggerty alias Macklemore. However, before teaming up with the MC and releasing the collaborative remix EP Vs. Redux in 2010, Lewis already gave a first taste of his talent as an audio specialist on his solo work Instrumentals (2008). Together with Haggerty, the commercial breakthrough came in 2012: The Heist became an international mega-success and stormed into the top 10 of the album charts in several countries, with singles such as "Thrift Shop", "Can't Hold Us" and "Same Love" selling millions of copies. Lewis reaped the rewards of his producing at the 56th Grammy Awards in 2014, when he and Haggerty took home four trophies(Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album). 2015 sees the release of the single 'Downtown', which reaches platinum status in the UK and US and heralds the album This Unruly Mess I've Made , which Lewis releases in 2016, once again teaming up with Macklemore. in 2017, Lewis co-wrote Kesha's song "Praying" and in 2019 the track "Subaru Crosstrek XV ", which Hobo Johnson released.
