DoubleDrive, an American post-grunge band from Atlanta, Georgia, was formed in late 1996. Originally named MK Ultra, they won the award for Atlanta's Favorite Metal/Extreme band in 1998 and signed a record deal with MCA Records. Their debut studio album, 1000 Yard Stare, was released in 1999. After parting ways with MCA Records, DoubleDrive signed with Roadrunner Records and released their second album, Blue in the Face, in 2003. The album peaked at number 43 on Top Heatseekers, and the single "Imprint" reached number 22 at Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks on Billboard charts. The band toured with notable acts such as Sevendust and Kid Rock before disbanding in late 2003. The band reunited for a show in 2018.
