Majke, a Croatian rock band, was formed in Vinkovci by vocalist Goran Bare, bassist Nedjeljko Ivković - Kilmister, drummer Željko Mikulić - Korozija, and guitarists Marin Pokrovac and Ivica Duspara. Their first demo tape was released in 1988 on the label Slušaj Najglasnije. After the group disbanded due to Pokrovac's move to London, Majke reformed but tragically lost Pokrovac and two friends in a car accident later that year. In 1990, with new guitarist Ivan Dujmić, Majke released their debut studio album Razum I Bezumlje, which was proclaimed rock album of the year. The band's success was interrupted by the Croatian War of Independence, leading to their first breakup. In 1992, Bare relocated to Zagreb and reformed Majke with a new lineup, releasing Razdor in 1993. Lineup changes continued, with original bassist Kilmister returning for the 1994 release of Milost, which included the hit song "Ja Sam Budućnost". Majke's return was officially confirmed in February 2007. The band performed at Zagreb's Tvornica Kulture on March 9, and a recording of the concert was later released as U Tvornici 9.3.2007 on DVD and CD in 2013.
