Harun Kolçak was a Turkish pop musician and songwriter who was born in 1955 in Istanbul. He began his career in 1987 by performing the songs “Güzel Şeyler Söyle” (1987) and “Keloğlan” (1987) in the Turkish Eurovision Song Contest pre-selection. Kolçak performed for several years in the orchestra of Onno Tunç and collaborated with the artist Sezen Aksu. His debut studio album, Beni Affet, was released (1991), followed by the recordings En Büyük Aşk (1993), Yanımda Kal (1995), and Teslim Oldum (1998). These albums featured the tracks “Gir Kanıma” (1991), “Yanımda Kal” (1995), and “Vermem Seni” (1995). His final studio album, Çeyrek Asır, was released (2016) and included new recordings of his hits with various Turkish artists. He was posthumously awarded an Altın Kelebek Award for the project in 2017. Kolçak died in 2017.
