La Gran Orquesta Republicana, a ska-fusion band from Mallorca, Spain, was formed in 1997 by Javier Vegas and his brother Nacho. The band's lineup evolved over time, with key members including Javier Vegas on vocals, Nacho Vegas on saxophone, Enric Hernaiz on bass, Juan Antonio Molina on guitar, Xema Bestard on trombone and trumpet, and Adrià Pomar on drums. The group's music blended elements of ska, punk, reggae, and rock, with lyrics often focusing on political reflection. Their debut album, Todos locos, todos contentos, was released in 1997, followed by Lo importante está en tu cabeza in 1999. Notable singles include "Corona" (1998) and "Galeano/Bennedetti" (2000). Subsequent albums include Optimista (2001), Abrazos (2004), and 2Discos (2005). In 2008, the group announced their disbandment. However, they reunited in 2013 for a tour and released Todo es posible in 2014.
