The Itals, a Jamaican reggae vocal group, were formed in 1976 by Alvin "Keith" Porter, Lloyd Ricketts, and Ronnie Davis. The trio previously worked together in the late 1960s as part of The Westmorelites. Their single "In A Dis Ya Time" topped the Jamaican chart. The group released several albums through the late 1970s and 1980s, including Brutal Out Deh (1981), Give Me Power (1983), and Rasta Philosophy (1985). The latter was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. In 2009, The Itals toured in support of their album Let Dem Talk.
