Aliases, a metal band from Manchester, United Kingdom, was formed in 2010 by Graham Pinney and Leah Woodward after Pinney's previous band SikTh disbanded. The name Aliases reflects the diverse musical facets of the band. In 2011, they released their first song "We Never Should Have Met" and introduced Jay Berast as their new singer. Their debut album Safer than Reality was released that same year under Basick Records. The band toured extensively throughout 2011 and 2012 with acts such as Chimp Spanner, Visions, Textures, and the Ocean. In March 2012, Aliases performed at the UK Tech-Metal Fest in London. After parting ways with Jay Berast in August 2012, they briefly worked with Leigh Dale before welcoming Joe Rosser as their new singer. Their second album Derangeable was released in 2016.
