Nora O'Connor, born on April 2, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American musician known for her vocals, guitar, and bass playing. She released her first solo album Cerulean Blue in 1996 through Uncommon Ground Coffeehouse in Chicago. O’Connor toured internationally as a singer with Iron and Wine for much of 2013. She has extensively collaborated with artists such as Andrew Bird and Kelly Hogan. Wilco's Jeff Tweedy enlisted O'Connor and Hogan as primary vocalists on Mavis Staples' Grammy Award-winning album You Are Not Alone (2010). O’Connor released her second solo album Til the Dawn on August 24, 2004, via Bloodshot Records. Her album My Heart was released on October 7, 2022, under Pravda Records. Throughout her career, she has been a member of The Blacks and a touring member of The Decemberists.
