Ascension of the Watchers was an American rock band from Pennsylvania, formed in 2001 by Burton C. Bell and John Bechdel. In June 2005, they released their debut EP Iconoclast. The band headlined The Surfacing Tour later that year with False Icons and Still Life Decay. In 2008, they released their first full-length album, Numinosum, under 13th Planet Records. After a period of inactivity, Burton C. Bell announced the recording of a new album titled Apocrypha, which was later released on October 9, 2020, under Dissonance Records. This album featured collaborations with Welsh solo artist Jayce Lewis, who also produced and mixed the record. Notable singles from their later works include "Ghost Heart" (2018), and "The End is Always the Beginning" (2020).
