Soul Inscribed is an American hip hop and fusion band and beatbox crew from New York City, formed by Baba Israel. He co-founded the Australian hip hop crew Metabass'n'Breath before befriending Yako 440 while on tour with DJ Logic. Together, they released albums such as Force Of Life and Beatbox Dub Poetics. In New York City, Baba Israel and Yako 440 met Jonathan "Duv" Zaragoza at The Door community center, where they taught music. Duv later joined the group, and in 2016, Soul Inscribed was selected to perform as part of the American Music Abroad program, touring Russia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Mauritius. The band released their self-titled album Soul Inscribed in 2016. Baba Israel and Yako 440 also created a show called The Spinning Wheel, paying tribute to the life of Baba's father, Steve Ben Israel.
