Ekin Turan was born in Tunceli in 1989. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Tunceli, he won the Dicle University State Turkish Music Conservatory in 2007. Turan, who quit his education here, won the Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory in 2009 and completed his university education in Izmir. While he was in primary school, he took the stage in choirs, sound competitions and festivals with his passion for music. He accompanied many artists on the stage with his baglama while he was still in high school, and when he was 10 years old, he performed alone at the 9th Munzur Culture and Nature Festival. Turan, whose native language is Zazaish, continues with the aim of transferring the Alevi Bektashi belief to posterity, also contributes to this culture as a songwriter and composer.
