Kevrenn Alré, a traditional Breton music and dance group, was founded in 1951 by railway workers at Auray station in France. The ensemble emerged from the Jileteu Du circle, with Jean Péron and Pierre Guillet playing pivotal roles in its formation. Initially, the group faced financial constraints but managed to acquire instruments through collective effort. Kevrenn Alré's early years were marked by frequent performances at local festivals and a strong commitment to preserving Breton culture. The band released their debut album Kevrenn Alre in 1990. Throughout its career, Kevrenn Alré achieved significant milestones, bagging eight wins from the National Bagad Championships and 11 from the National Breton Dance Championships. The group's international tours included performances in Yugoslavia (1962), the United States (1989 and 2007, notably at Carnegie Hall with the Chieftains), China (2008), Wales (2010), Asturias (2005 and 2010), and Réunion Island (2013).
