Alejandra & Aeron, also known as Bergman and Salinas, is an artist duo consisting of Alejandra Salinas, born in 1977 in La Rioja, Spain, and Aeron Bergman, born in 1971 in Detroit, Michigan. The duo began their music career with the release of the album Bostonpopsonreverbformydeadgrandpa (1997). Their early works included experiments with folk and laptop electronic music, notably in albums like Ruinas Encantadas (2001), which won an honorary mention at Prix Ars Electronica 2001, and Porto: Folklore Fragments Volume 2. The duo's audio installation "Revisionland" earned them an Award of Distinction in Digital Music from the Prix Ars Electronica in 2002. They released 12 critically acclaimed full-length audio CDs on labels such as Orthlorng Musork, Fat Cat, and Tomlab, as well as their own label, Lucky Kitchen. Their album Be Mine (2005) featured interviews about love, while Children's Record (1999) included songs from people's childhoods. Other notable albums include The Tale of the Unhappy American (2000) and Lost Cat (2004).
