Diana Express, a Bulgarian rock band formed in 1974 in Yambol by Mitko Shterev, began their musical journey with a lineup that included young artists who later became stars: Vasil Naidenov, George Stanchev, and Iliya Angelov. The band's initial breakthrough came with the release of their self-titled debut album Diana Express in 1974. Over the next decade, Diana Express released several notable albums including Prayer for Rain (1981), Golden Apple (1982), and Diana Express 5 (1985). Some of their most popular songs include "Sineva", performed by Vasil Naidenov, "Soul" with George Stanchev, and "Blues for Two" by Iliya Angelov. In 1998, the band released a CD featuring dance remixes of their most popular songs, performed by young singer Gaul. Diana Express disbanded in 1984 but continued to release compilations and collaborations, including teaming up with English hard rock singer John Lawton for the album The Power Of Mind (2012).
