Hank the Knife & the Jets, a rock'n'roll band from the Netherlands, were formed in 1974 by former Long Tall Ernie & The Shakers bassist Henk Bruysten. Initially known as Moment Darling, the band released their debut single "Love Centaur" under the Pink Elephant label before renaming to Hank the Knife & the Jets later that year. Their breakthrough came with the 1975 release of "Guitar King", produced by Roy Beltman and distributed by EMI Holland. The song reached number two in the Netherlands, number one in Belgium, and number four in Germany. Subsequent singles like "Stan the Gunman" also achieved significant chart success. However, their debut album, The Guitar King, did not perform as well. Follow-up releases such as "Yesterday Star" and "Crazy Cats" failed to replicate earlier successes, leading to lineup changes and eventual disbandment in 1977. The band reunited in 2001 and performed rock'n'roll classics at various events. Notable later albums include First Gear (2002) and Six Bass Man (2011).
