Rune Lindblad, born on May 12, 1923, in Gothenburg, Sweden, was a composer and artist, known for his work with electronic music. He began his career in 1953 with "Party", considered the first electroacoustic work created in Sweden. In February 1957, Lindblad, along with Sven-Eric Johansson and Bruno Epstein, organized the first concert of concrete and electronic music in Sweden at Folkets hus (People's House) in Gothenburg. Critics and audiences received it poorly, demanding refunds. Nevertheless, Lindblad continued to produce numerous works, including paintings and drawings, which appeared on his albums. His notable albums include Predestination (1975), Rune Lindblad (1988), and posthumous releases such as Death of the Moon: Electronic & Concrète Music 1953–1960 (1997) and Objekt 2: Electronic & Concrète Music 1962–1988 (1998). Lindblad also taught at the University of Gothenburg, influencing students like Rolf Enström, Åke Parmerud, and Ulf Bilting. He passed away on May 5, 1991.
