Hip Club Groove was a Canadian hip hop ensemble formed in 1991 in Truro, Nova Scotia. The group consisted of rappers Derek Mackenzie and Cory Bowles, and DJ Brian Higgins. The band released the EP Cool Beans in 1993 through No Records. In 1994, the ensemble signed with Murderecords and released the studio album Trailer Park Hip Hop. The group performed on tour with the band Sloan in support of the recording. The ensemble released its final studio album, Land of the Lost, in 1996 through Funtrip Records and became inactive shortly after. Higgins and Mackenzie subsequently performed as touring musicians for the group Len and appeared on the 1999 recording You Can't Stop the Bum Rush. Bowles performed as an actor in the television series Trailer Park Boys. Mackenzie later performed with the band Alcona. The compilation recording Unreleased & Rare appeared in 2010.
