hHead was a Canadian alternative rock ensemble from Toronto established in 1991. The group consisted of the musicians Brendan Canning and Noah Mintz. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by hard rock and grunge. The ensemble was founded after the musicians met as students at Brock University. Their recording career began with the debut extended play Potato E.P. (1991). hHead achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Fireman (1992) which became popular on campus radio. They achieved professional recognition for winning the Discovery to Disc contest in 1993. Their discography included the studio recording Jerk (1994) released on the label IRS Records. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing as an opening act for the ensemble Moist and performing at the festival Edgefest in 1995. Their recording career included the studio recording Ozzy (1996) released on the label Handsome Boy Records. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing their final concert at the festival Edenfest in 1996. The group became inactive in 1997.
