Las Ligas Menores, an Argentine rock band formed in Buenos Aires in 2011, initially gained traction with their debut EP El Disco Suplente, released in February 2012. The band's early recordings were produced at Estudios La Bestia Bebé and mastered by José María D’Agostino. Their first full-length album, Las Ligas Menores, was launched on July 14, 2014, featuring a more polished sound compared to their earlier work. In December 2016, they released the single "Ni una canción" and were subsequently confirmed for the Coachella festival in April 2017, where they performed alongside notable acts like Lady Gaga and Bon Iver. The band's second album, Fuego Artificial, was released on May 10, 2018, marking a significant evolution in their musical style. To promote the album, Las Ligas Menores embarked on extensive tours across Argentina and internationally, including stops in Spain, Mexico, and Chile. In April 2019, Fuego Artificial was nominated for "Mejor diseño de portada" at the Premios Gardel. The band's third album, initially planned for mid-2020, was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, they released several singles, including "Accidente" and "Hice todo mal", the latter of which earned them a nomination for "Mejor Canción de Rock" at the 22nd Latin Grammy Awards. In October 2024, Las Ligas Menores announced a hiatus following the departure of key members Micaela García, Nina Carrara, Pablo Kemper, and Angie Cases Bocci.
