Mishima, a Catalan indie pop band from Barcelona, Spain, was formed in 1999. The group consists of David Carabén, Marc Lloret, Dani Vega, Xavi Caparrós, and Alfons Serra. Named after Japanese author Yukio Mishima, the band initially released two albums in English that received critical acclaim. Their breakthrough came with Trucar a casa. Recollir les fotos. Pagar la multa (2005), their third album recorded in Catalan. This release marked a significant shift and garnered substantial success. Subsequent albums, including Set tota la vida (2007) and Ordre i aventura (2010), were also well-received, with the former being noted as one of the best Spanish albums of the decade by Rockdelux magazine. In 2011, Mishima performed at the Palau de la Música Catalana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Their discography includes notable releases such as L'ànsia que cura (2014) and Ara i res (2017).
