The LeRoi Brothers is an American rock band founded in 1981 in Austin, Texas, by Mike Buck, Don Leady, Steve Doerr, and Alex Napier. The group released the EP Moon Twist in 1981 and the album Check This Action in 1983. They released the album Lucky Lucky Me in 1985 before achieving national success with Open All Night in 1986, which reached number 181 on the Billboard 200 in 1987. The band’s discography includes the albums Viva LeRoi in 1989, Rhythm and Booze in 1990, and Kings of the Catnap in 2000. The lineup evolved over time to include members such as Jackie Newhouse and Evan Johns. Former bassist Alex Napier died in 2011. On March 12, 2014, the group was inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame. Former guitarist Evan Johns died in 2017. Following their deaths, the band released a deluxe reissue of Check This Action and issued the single “Lonesome Train” / “Big Leg Woman” in 2024.
