Ben Parker & Jason Hazeley were a London‑based singer‑songwriter duo formed in 1998. They began writing together in the late 1990s and quickly attracted the attention of Go! Beat/Universal, which signed them and released their debut mini‑album Hello on 19 April 1999. Their follow‑up album Emoticons (25 January 2001) produced the single "Air Guitar", which reached number 79 on the UK Singles Chart. In 2001 the duo released the single "The Wild Things" that peaked at number 81. After parting ways with their major label, they issued their final studio album Goodbye on 13 October 2003 through Setanta. The duo’s work was noted for its polished folk‑pop sensibility, and they collaborated with artists such as Mundy, Martine McCutcheon and Kinobe. Ben Parker subsequently pursued a solo career and formed Lux Luther, while Jason Hazeley transitioned to comedy writing. Ben Parker & Jason Hazeley disbanded in December 2003.
