Soft Hair, a British musical group, was formed in 2016 from the collaboration between Connan Mockasin and Samuel Eastgate, also known as Sam Dust. The duo first met in 2007 at a music business party where they were both accused of stealing microphones and a large pig sculpture. Despite this initial conflict, their paths crossed again when Mockasin joined Late of the Pier, Eastgate's band, on tour. This led to a decision to work together on an album. After five years of preparation, Soft Hair released their self-titled debut album Soft Hair on October 28, 2016, through Domino Records and Weird World Records. The album was accompanied by the singles "Lying Has To Stop" and "Relaxed Lizard".
