Afasi & Filthy, a Swedish hip hop duo from Uppsala, Sweden, was composed of rapper Herbert Munkhammar and producer Magnus Lidehäll. They began performing at their school in Uppsala before moving to Malmö and then Stockholm. Filthy released his first mixtape Snus, Porr & Brännvin (2001) with rapper Spakur, catching the attention of indie label Streetzone, which led to the release of the EP 1990 Nånting (2003) featuring the title track "1990 nånting" with Snook. The track charted in Sweden and resulted in a contract with BMG, under which they released the single "Bomfalleralla" (2004). After disagreements, they broke their contract with BMG in Spring 2005 to work independently. Notable releases include Hotell Stress (2006) (released in two volumes) and Fläcken (2008), for which they won a Swedish Grammy in January 2009 in the Best Dance/Hip hop/Soul category. They disbanded in 2009, with Munkhammar joining Maskinen and later Ansiktet.
