Raúl Fuentes Cuenca, known professionally as Raúl, was born on February 9, 1975, in Vitoria, Álava, Spain. He is a Spanish singer who gained prominence through his participation in the preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000. His breakthrough came with the song "Sueño su boca", which placed second in the Eurocanción 2000 contest organized by TVE. This performance marked the beginning of his successful music career, leading to the release of his debut album Sueño Su Boca later that year. The single "Baila" from this album became a summer hit and was nominated for a Premio Amigo. In 2001, Raúl released his second album, Haciendo Trampas, which topped the Spanish charts with notable tracks like "Prohibida" and "Me provocas". His third album, As de corazones (2003), featured collaborations with Kike Santander and included hits such as "As de corazones" and "Sigo vivo". Raúl's discography also includes albums like Ya no es ayer (2005) and Una vida (2007). In 2016, he was awarded the Premio Latino de Oro a la Trayectoria Masculina.
