P-27 is a Swiss hip-hop group from Basel. Their breakthrough came in 1991 with the release of "Murder by Dialect" on the second Fresh Stuff compilation, featuring Black Tiger. This led to their debut album Overdose Funk (1991), which included texts in both English and Swiss German. In 1994, P-27 released their second album Jetzt funkt's aa under EMI Records Switzerland, notable for being recorded with a live funk band. Their third album Dr einzig Wäg was published by Muve Recordings in 1999. After a hiatus, members Skelt! and Tron returned in 2007 with the EP Pumpin' Daze, which included a remastered version of "Murder by Dialect".
