Acapickels were a Swiss all-female musical cabaret group from Zurich, formed in 1989. The founding members were Fritz Bisenz, Denise Geiser, and Bettina Dieterle, who initially performed under the name “Covergirls”. In 1990, Regula Esposito joined the ensemble, which was briefly known as “Acapulcos” before becoming Acapickels in 1991. Cony Gründler was also an early member of the quartet. The group combined a-capella singing with satirical comedy and personas in 1950s-style attire. In 1995, Jasmin Clamor replaced Dieterle. Their career included the programs Kann denn Singen Sünde sein? (1994) and Mit Hirn, Harn und Melodien (1996), the latter appearing as a studio album in 1998. They also published the book Acapickels drücken sich aus! in 2000. The group received the Salzburger Stier in 1994 and the Prix Pantheon in 1996. After more than 1,400 performances, the group became inactive following a final show on April 30, 2008, at Theater 11 in Zurich.
