Arnulf Wenning (born 1957) is a German pop and reggae singer and flautist from Stendal. He began his career in 1977 with the band Gatalula before joining Reggae Play in 1981. After studying at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, Wenning launched a solo career in 1984. He won first place at the 1986 Goldener Rathausmann festival with the disco track "Eisdame" and received a Gold Record in 1987 for "Rot so rot", which was a success across Eastern Europe. In 1987, Wenning released his self-titled debut album, Arnulf Wenning, and won the Grand Prix at the International Schlagerfestival Dresden in 1988. Following a period as a balloon pilot and photographer, he joined the swing group Die Romantiker in 2004. Wenning resumed activity with Reggae Play in 2009 and performs with the Liederpiraten. He is also known for the project Capitano Arnulfo.
