Irene "Rena" Vlahopoulou, born Ειρήνη Βλαχοπούλου on July 28, 1923, in Corfu, Greece, was a singer and actress. She began her artistic journey at a young age, taught piano by her father Giannis Vlahopoulos, and started singing locally by the age of ten. Her breakthrough came when she began performing at the Oasis varieté show in Athens' Zappeion gardens. Throughout her career, Vlahopoulou appeared in numerous theatrical plays and films, including The Gambler and The Countess of Corfu. Vlahopoulou passed away on July 29, 2004, at the age of 81. Her hometown honored her by renaming the old theatre Mon Repo to the Rena Vlahopoulou theatre.
