Carmen Piazzini, born in 1939 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a pianist. She is the granddaughter of pianist Edmundo Piazzini and daughter of Luis Roberto Piazzini, a national chess champion. Piazzini began her musical training with Vicente Scaramuzza and Rafael González, later refining her skills under Wilhelm Kempff. Her career took off as she became known for her interpretations of Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Argentine composers such as Ginastera, Juan José Castro, Carlos Guastavino, and Astor Piazzolla. From 1985 to 2006, she held the piano chair at the Musikhochschule in Karlsruhe and Salzburg. Notable albums include Mozart: The Complete Piano Sonatas (2009) and Mozart: Piano Sonatas Nos. 10 - 11 & 18 (2015).
