Willy Millowitsch, born on January 8, 1909 in Cologne, Germany, is a singer known for his contributions to Middle of the Road (MOR) and Pop music. Born into an acting family, he left school at 13 to pursue a career in theater, eventually taking over the management of his father's theater in 1940. Millowitsch began his singing career with Ariola Records in 1960, releasing his first single "Wenn dieses Lied ein Schlager wird". His breakthrough came later that year with the hit single "Heut‘ sind wir blau", but it was "Schnaps, das war sein letztes Wort" that became his signature song. Throughout the 1960s, he released several successful songs including "Das Herz von Köln" and "Wir sind alle kleine Sünderlein". Millowitsch's discography includes notable albums such as Der Durst Bleibt Lebenslänglich (1961) and Ach Sag' Doch Nicht Immer Wieder Dicker (1999) and he continued to perform until his death on September 20, 1999. His contributions to German music were recognized posthumously with the release of albums like Die Goldenen Jahre in 2005.
