Horst Alfred Muys, also known as Horst Muys, born on July 13, 1925, in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, was a German carnival performer, singer of Cologne carnival hits, stand-up comedian, and singer of short songs. He began his career as an actor and had early engagements in Strasbourg and Münster. After World War II, Muys moved to Cologne and joined Willy Millowitsch's theater ensemble in 1945. His breakthrough came when he became a member of the Eilemann Trio in 1951. In the 1960s, Muys gained prominence in the Cologne Carnival scene with his humorous songs and performances. He collaborated with artists like Lotti Krekel on hits such as "Ene Besuch em Zoo". Muys continued to perform until his death from a perforated ulcer in July 1970.
