Sub7even, a rock band from Germany, was formed in 1999 in the Dortmund-Essen-Herne triangle. The group consisted of former Rage members Christian Wolff, Sven Fischer, Spiros Efthimiadis, Christos Efthimiadis, and regional singer Daniel Wirtz. Sub7even signed with BMG Records later that year. Their debut album Subseven was released in October 2000, featuring the single "Weatherman", which reached number 38 on the Media Control Charts. The band gained further exposure through appearances on shows like Verbotene Liebe and concerts such as Rock am Ring and SWR3 Open Air. In 2001, they performed at the Böhsen Onkelz's Gegen-den-Hass benefit concert and released another single "Wicked". Early 2002 saw the release of their second album Free Your Mind, which peaked at number 50 on the Media Control Charts. The band collaborated with En Vogue on the title track "Free your Mind" and supported Böhsen Onkelz on their tour later that year. In November 2002, Sub7even parted ways with BMG Records. By early 2003, Christian Wolff and Sven Fischer had left the band, replaced by Rob Protzmann and Kai Lemke respectively. The band continued to perform at significant events, including the Böhse-Onkelz-Abschiedsfestival Vaya con Tioz in June 2005. Their third album LOVECHAINSROCKETS was released in May 2006 under Stephan Weidner's label 3R Records.
