Kristine Elizabeth Weitz, known professionally as Kristine W, was born on June 8, 1962, in Pasco, Washington. She is an American singer-songwriter who found early success competing in pageants and talent contests, winning Miss Washington 1981 and a Preliminary Swimsuit Award as well as a Non-Finalist Talent award in the Miss America pageant. After moving to Las Vegas, Kristine W performed at the Las Vegas Hilton and won Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year for several years. Her first record deal led to her debut single "Feel What You Want", which became her first Number 1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in 1994. Following this success, she released her debut album Perfect Beat in March 1994. Throughout her career, Kristine W achieved significant milestones, including 17 Number 1s on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and being ranked number three in Billboard's Top Dance Artists of the Decade. Notable albums include Land of the Living (1996), Stronger (2000), and The Power of Music (2009). Kristine W is also known for her advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, frequently performing at pride rallies and charity events.
