Anthony Pengel, known professionally as U-Niq, was born on July 10, 1976, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He is a Dutch rapper who began his musical journey at age 13, influenced by artists such as Rakim and Big Daddy Kane. Initially interested in football, Pengel started rapping and released his debut album Married to Music in 1999. Anthony Pengel's career took a significant turn when he decided to rap in Dutch after spending some time in jail. His first Dutch-language album, Rotterdam, was released in 2006 and featured the singles "Rotterdam" and "Klein klein jongetje". In 2007, Pengel released his EP Muziek. He has collaborated with other artists, including Nas, Postmen, and Eddy Ra.
