Marie Perbost, born on September 29, 1989 in Paris, France, is a French soprano from a family of musicians. She began her musical education at age four studying cello until nine years old and then joined the Maîtrise de Radio France. In 2013, Perbost made her debut as a soprano on stage playing Blanche de la Force in Dialogues des carmélites by Francis Poulenc at the Conservatoire Paul Dukas in Paris. She won several awards including the Prix spécial des Amis du Lied at the Concours international du lied d’Enschede with pianist Joséphine Ambroselli in 2013, and the Grand prix du Concours international Nadia et Lili Boulanger in 2015. In 2016, she was named Révélation lyrique de l’ADAMI. Perbost has released Une Jeunesse à Paris via the Harmonia Mundi label.
