Ashley Dwayne MacIsaac, born February 24, 1975 in Creignish, Nova Scotia, Canada, is a Canadian musician, singer, and songwriter. He began his career as a violinist, releasing his album Hi™ How Are You Today? in 1995. The album featured the hit single "Sleepy Maggie", which peaked at number 13 on the Canadian RPM Top Singles chart and reached number 2 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100. MacIsaac won three Juno Awards: Best New Solo Artist and Best Roots & Traditional Album – Solo in 1996, and Best Instrumental Artist in 1997. He has collaborated with various artists, including appearing on Glueleg's album Clodhopper. In 2003, MacIsaac published an autobiography titled Fiddling with Disaster.
