Shoplifting was an American punk band formed in 2002 in Seattle, Washington. The group consisted of Hannah Blilie on drums and vocals, Chris Pugmire on vocals and guitar, Devin Welch on guitar, and Melissa Lock on bass, who replaced Michelle Nolan. Shoplifting entered the Seattle music scene in early 2003, known for their experimental performances and community activism. In 2004, they recorded an EP titled Shoplifting and released the single "Hegemony Enemy / Talk of the Town" with Kill Rock Stars. The band's debut album, Body Stories, was released in March 2006 by Kill Rock Stars. Following a U.S. tour that included shows with Mecca Normal, Shoplifting disbanded.
