John Wiese, born on April 18, 1977 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, is a noise musician and visual artist based in Los Angeles. He graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 2001 with a BFA in Graphic Design. Wiese began his music career by releasing material on his own Helicopter label, starting with Collected Tracks in 2000. His notable subsequent solo albums include Light of a Ghost (2005), Soft Punk (2007), and Escaped Language (2017). Wiese has also been a member of the group Sissy Spacek, contributing to their projects.
