Stormwitch, a German heavy metal band, was formed in 1979 in Gerstetten. The original lineup included Andreas Mück, Harald Spengler, Stefan Kauffmann, Eddy Galeida, and Jürgen Wannenwetsch. In 1984, they released their debut LP Walpurgis Night, followed by Tales of Terror in 1985. The band's image evolved with the release of Stronger than Heaven in 1986, featuring "Ravenlord". In 1987, they released The Beauty and the Beast. Stormwitch toured extensively, notably performing in Hungary, where they recorded Magyarországon in 1989. Throughout the 1990s, they faced lineup changes and disbanded in 1996. Andreas Mück reformed the band in 2002, releasing Dance with the Witches. Subsequent albums included Witchcraft (2004), Season of the Witch (2015), and Bound to the Witch (2018). Stormwitch continued to perform at major festivals like Wacken Open Air.
