Martin Blume, born in 1956 in Arnsberg, Germany, is a drummer and composer known for his work in jazz, improvisational music, and contemporary classical music. After moving to Bochum in 1976, Blume began his professional music career in 1983, collaborating with notable artists such as Peter Brötzmann, Lol Coxhill, and Earl Howard. In 1988, he started focusing on his own projects, leading to performances across Europe, the USA, Canada, and Australia. Notable collaborations include duo formations with Phil Wachsmann and Xu Fengxia, and groups like FOURinONE, Lines, and Caetitu. Blume's discography includes albums such as Caetitu (2008) and Low Yellow (2018).
