Lee Potter, known professionally as Killa Kela, was born in 1983 in West Sussex and emerged as a beatboxer and rapper. His early career began in 1997 with the formation of the UK hip‑hop crew 360 Physicals, and he released the single "Rave Of The Future" in 2005, followed by the EP Ontourvandamage (2008) and the debut album Built Like An Amplifier (2009). In 2010 he issued the studio album Amplified!, featuring collaborations with artists such as Hadouken! and Alan Braxe. Killa Kela signed with major labels Sony BMG and later 100% Records, toured extensively across Europe, North America, and Asia, and performed at high‑profile festivals including Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, and the Royal Albert Hall. His work earned him the Stuff Magazine Award for Renegade of Style in 2006, and his track "Jawbreaker" was featured on the FIFA Street 2 soundtrack. Killa Kela expanded into multimedia with a podcast, a beatbox sample pack on Splice, and commercial work for brands such as Virgin Media and Ford.
