Katri Ylander is a Finnish pop-rock singer who achieved great success after appearing on Suomen Idols in 2005. Born Katri Marianne Ylander in Harjavalta on December 17, 1985, she rose to fame on Suomen Idols, the Finnish equivalent of Pop Idol, where she reached the final in 2005 behind Ilkka Jääskeläinen. Signed by Sony/BMG, she then embarked on a successful solo career, starting with the album Katri Ylander (2006), which reached No.3 in the charts and was certified gold, with several singles including the radio hit "Onko vielä aikaa? In 2007, Kaiki nämä sanat reached No. 13 and kept the charts supplied with the hits "Valehdellaan" (No. 10), "Väilitunnilla" (No. 8) and "Unta " (No. 29).
